Dance Team Shows Skills Sunday Friday, June 12, 2009
Members of the Creative Dance Center Competition Team offer a showcase of their most successful pieces in "A Journey Through Dance: A Jazz, Tap and Contemporary Dance Performance," taking place at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Sponsored by the Institute of Performing Arts for Youth, the group will revive a series of choreographed dances that won top awards in a number of categories. Dancers ages 5 to 18 will impress with genre pieces in contemporary, lyrical, jazz and tap.
An additional performance will take place at 6:30 p.m., with both events hosted at Freedom High School in South Riding.
